Privacy policy
Updated October 10, 2026
This policy covers the Bailey Bear Books website and CJ Cornell’s Book Social Publisher, also called Bailey Social Publisher. CJ Cornell operates these services. Questions about this policy can be sent to contact@baileybearbooks.com.
Website visits and correspondence
You can read book information and download the resources without creating an account with us. If you email us, we receive your email address, the information in your message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use that information to answer your inquiry and manage the related correspondence.
When your browser requests a website page or file, the hosting service receives technical information such as your IP address, requested address, browser information, and request time. This information may appear in hosting logs used to deliver the site, diagnose problems, and protect it from abuse. Hosting and email providers process information as needed to provide their services.
Links to other services
Book purchase links and other external links take you to separate services, including Amazon and social networks. Those services handle information under their own privacy policies. Purchases are completed with the retailer; this website does not receive your payment-card details.
Book Social Publisher
The Publisher is an author-operated application running on a Windows computer. Website visitors and readers do not need to connect a social account to it. The author reviews campaign content, chooses a publishing destination, and approves a post before it is sent.
When the author connects an account, the social network provides an authorization token and information needed to identify available publishing destinations. For Facebook and Instagram, this includes accessible Page identifiers and names, Page access tokens, and linked professional Instagram identifiers and usernames. For Pinterest, this includes authorized board identifiers and names and the approved account access. The app does not ask for the social-network account password.
App secrets and account tokens are stored on the author’s PC using Windows encryption tied to that Windows user account. Campaign text and media are stored locally. A local publishing record stores the destination, attempt time, result identifiers, and any publishing error. The app uses this information to publish approved content and avoid accidental duplicate posts.
To connect accounts and publish, the app sends authorization requests and approved post text, images, links, and destination identifiers to the selected network’s official services. Instagram publishing also requires publicly accessible campaign images so Meta can retrieve them. Images uploaded for this purpose are public files and must not contain private information. Website visitors’ data is not supplied to the Publisher for social posting.
Use, sharing, and storage
We use information for the purposes described above. The Publisher does not sell account data or provide account tokens to advertisers. Account tokens remain stored locally until disconnected or removed; the network may expire or revoke them sooner. Disconnecting a network removes its saved authorization tokens from the app, but does not remove saved app settings, campaign files, local publishing records, or posts already published.
Email correspondence is retained as needed to handle the inquiry and related records. Hosting logs are managed by the hosting provider. To request deletion of correspondence or assistance removing Publisher data, use the contact information below. We may need to confirm that a request comes from the person whose information is involved.
Children and families
The books and downloadable activities are for families and educators, including children. The Publisher is for adult account operators. We do not ask children to create website accounts or submit personal information to use the book resources. Children should ask a parent or teacher to contact us rather than sending names, photos, school details, or other personal information themselves. A parent or guardian who believes a child’s personal information has been sent to us can contact us to request its review or deletion.
Your choices and deletion
You can choose not to send correspondence, disconnect a social account in the Publisher, or revoke the app’s permissions in the social network’s account settings. For details, see data-deletion instructions. For website or correspondence requests, email contact@baileybearbooks.com. For Publisher account-data questions, email cj@cjcornell.com. Do not send passwords or access tokens by email.
Policy changes
Updates will be posted on this page with a revised date. If the website or Publisher adds features that change how personal information is handled, this policy must be updated to describe those practices.
